Indian or Chinese textiles which were made for the Western market are included in both World Textiles and in English Textiles. If a piece of fabric is say 18th century dress fabric and it is woven, it will appear in both sections.
It is always a pleasure connecting with fellow enthusiasts! Do make time to visit if you are in London, although I will be in India for next few weeks until early November. I always have exciting pieces which are not on the website. I live and work very close to Hackney Downs (Weaver line)/Dalston Junction and Dalston Kingsland (Windrush line) stations.
The good news: There are no US tariffs on items over 100 years, classed as Antique.
Enjoy looking and I will be back with lots of finds in mid-November.
